Community Counseling rarely, if ever, closes due to foul weather, but we realize that there will be times when the weather will make your commute to our office dangerous. While we will be here unless we call you to advise you that we are closed, we respect that weather issues may prevent you from making your appointment. If you feel it is too dangerous to make your appointment, we simply ask you to call the office at (860) 582-7904 to let us know. We ask that you do this as soon as possible. Sessions cancelled due to legitimate weather concerns will not be held to the 24 hr cancellation notice policy and you will not be billed for the no show.

Doc Warren and CCC know that personal privacy is very important to every one of our clients. It is important to us as well. This is why we recently remodeled the wall between our clinical office and waiting area to help ensure that what you say to Doc Warren stays with Doc Warren.

While the industry standard for privacy calls for such modest additions to an office as a "white noise" or other source of sound to help disguise or block what is said in a clinical office, we feel that our clients deserve more. So, while you will hear a radio or noise machine when sitting in our waiting room, it is what you cannot hear that makes us unique. We can't promise that no sound will escape the office; no one can, but what we can promise is that if you use a reasonable tone, what you say will stay where it belongs, in the office.

Our old office wall offered the charm of recessed solid cedar shelving and our signature "homey" feel that Doc Warren built into the entire office. The problem was that the shelving along with traditional sheet rock (found in most offices and homes) did little to help block noise. Hollow walls which are the standard in homes and offices help to further the issue by providing little sound blocking capabilities. Luckily, after extensive research and design work, Doc Warren was able to utilize state-of-the-art technology and materials to help block sound transfer and increase privacy. The combination of rigid, foam and batt acoustical insulation, acoustical putty, sealant and Quiet Rock™ as well as a solid core sound deadening door, helped transform our office without sacrificing style
.

Doc Warren would like to publicly thank his dedicated staff who volunteered their time to assist him in this remodeling project. With their help, the entire project was completed in a single weekend.
