Community Counseling rarely if ever closes due to foul weather but realizes that there will be times when the weather will make your commute to our office dangerous. While we will be here unless we call you to advise you that we are closed, we respect that weather issues may prevent you from making your appointment. If you feel it is too dangerous to make your appointment, we simply ask you to call the office at 860-582-7904 to let us know. We ask that you do this as soon as possible. Sessions cancelled due to legitimate weather concerns will not be held to the 24 hr cancellation notice policy and you will not be billed for the no show.

Doc Warren and CCC know that personal privacy is very important to every one of our clients; it is important to us as well, which is why we recently underwent the time consuming and expensive process of remodeling the wall between our clinical office and waiting area in order to insure that we have done everything within reason to help ensure that what you say to Doc Warren stays with Doc Warren.
While the industry standard for privacy calls for such modest additions to an office as a "white noise" or other source of sound to help disguise or block what is said in a clinical office, we felt that our clients deserved more. So while you will hear a radio or noise machine when sitting in our waiting room, it is what you cannot hear that makes us unique. We can't promise that no sound will escape the office; no one can, but what we can promise is that if you use a reasonable tone, what you say will stay where it belongs, in the office.
Our old office wall offered the charm of recessed solid cedar shelving and our signature "homey" feel that Doc Warren built into the entire office. The problem was that the shelving along with traditional sheet rock (found in most offices and homes) did little to help block noise. Hollow walls which are the standard in homes and offices help to further the issue by providing little sound blocking capabilities. Luckily after extensive research and design Doc Warren was able to utilize state of the art technology and materials to help block sound transfer and increase privacy. The combination of rigid, foam and batt acoustical insulation, acoustical putty, sealant and Quiet Rock™ as well as a solid core sound deadening door, helped transform our office without sacrificing style
.
Doc Warren would like to publicly thank his dedicated staff who volunteered their time to assist him in this remodeling project. Without their help he could not have completed it in a single weekend.

Our old wall and shelves.
The shelves would have to go but Tiffany style wall sconces and original art will help us keep our “homey” feel.
The shelves and walls removed in preparation of sound deadening insulation.
Acoustical putty is installed around all outlet boxes to help block the transfer of sound.
Rigid foam is installed and all seams are filled with spray foam to help block the transmission of sound.
A layer of acoustical batt insulation is applied over the solid core insulation; dissimilar materials block sounds differently.
By using dissimilar materials that block sound help to ensure that more types of sounds will be blocked or lessened leaving the room quieter.
A bead of acoustical sealant is applied to all outlets, parameters and other areas to help block the transmission of sound. Quiet Rock was then installed and taped with low dust wall compound before being primed and painted.
A view of the waiting room when almost completed.
A solid core quiet series door and molding were then installed so that we would be ready to serve you.
